DENVER—Mike Testwuide’s third goal of the game, on a penalty shot with 40 seconds left, rallied No. 6 Colorado College to a 4-4 tie with No. 2 Denver in a showdown between Western Collegiate Hockey Association leaders.

Colorado College (10-4-2, 7-3-2 WCHA) scored twice in the third period to salvage the tie. Testwuide scored short-handed at 3:14 of the period.

Denver (10-4-2, 8-2-2) took over first place in the WCHA with a 2-1 win Friday.

Rhett Rakhshani scored twice in the second period to give the Pioneers a 4-2 lead. Kyle Ostrow had a goal just 1:08 into the game for Denver, and Jesse Martin scored at 9:47.

Testwuide and Brian McMillin had first-period goals for the Tigers.

Colorado College’s Joe Howe made 32 saves, including four in overtime. Denver’s Marc Cheverie had 28 saves.
