FAIRPLAY — Two people were killed and another injured in a head-on collision near Fairplay.
The Colorado State Patrol says two trucks collided on U.S. 285 about 5 miles north of Fairplay about 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
The State Patrol said two people died in the crash and a third person was airlifted to a hospital in serious condition.
The accident shutdown U.S. 285 for more that two hours as rescue crews cleared the roadway.
The accident was under investigation.
