CRAIG, Colo.—A former Craig police detective accused of misconduct has pleaded not guilty to three felonies.

Ken Johnson pleaded not guilty this week to charges of attempting to influence a public servant, accessory to crime and embezzlement.

Prosecutors allege he had a sexual relationship with a woman who was convicted of drug charges and warned her when probation officers planned to visit her. He also is accused of telling her the names of drug informants and of giving her a police laptop to use.

Prosecutors say the woman, Tausha Merwin, lied about her relationship with Johnson during an internal police investigation into the relationship. She has been charged with attempting to influence a public servant.
