CONAKRY, Guinea — Top Western ambassadors prepared to attend negotiations on Guinea’s political crisis after a junta official said the talks in neighboring Burkina Faso would continue over the weekend.
The country’s military leader, Moussa “Dadis” Camara, was wounded in an assassination attempt last week and evacuated to a military hospital in Morocco.
Camara’s spokesman, Idrissa Cherif, had earlier said that the negotiations were indefinitely suspended.
