A suspect is in custody after five people were wounded during a shooting incident in Grand Junction early this morning.
Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputies and Grand Junction police responded to reports of shots fired in the 2900 block of Krista Court at about 2:15 a.m.,said Sheriff’s department spokeswoman Sally Weese.
Little information is available, but Weese said the shooting “was not random.”
The victims were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, said Weese. She had no information on the condition of the wounded.
