AURORA, Colo.—Authorities say one man died in a house fire in the Denver suburb of Aurora but another escaped.
Firefighters found the victim’s body inside. Authorities say the other man was taken to a hospital to be examined.
Their names haven’t been released.
Neighbor Henry Westrich says the man who survived was the homeowner and the victim was a disable homeless man whom the homeowner had taken in.
Firefighters were called to the house at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. It was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
The cause is under investigation.
