UQM Technologies Inc., a Frederick-based developer of alternative energy technologies, announced Tuesday that it paid $7.6 million for a 129,304-square-foot facility on a 30-acre site in Longmont to support growth in its manufacturing operations.
The facility, which includes about 30,000 square feet of office space, will house the company’s engineering, vehicle-integration and headquarters staff. The company said half of the purchase price is expected to be funded from a $45 million stimulus grant from the Department of Energy.
