Residents near East Eighth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard were on alert Tuesday evening as police searched for two bank robbers.
The pair robbed the US Bank at 730 Colorado Blvd. at gunpoint about 5:40 p.m., police said.
The men left the bank on foot going east.
Residents, as well as those attending activities at Hill Middle School, 451 Clermont St., were urged to stay inside and report any suspicious activity. Some streets were blocked off, creating problems for residents trying to get home.
