VAIL, Colorado — Prosecutors expect to call two police officers and a forensic pathologist as witnesses in a hearing scheduled for Wednesday in the Vail murder case of Richard “Rossi” Moreau.
They will seek to establish “probable cause” at the hearing.
But the defense filed a request this week asking for more time before the hearing, and prosecutors don’t object to that request, District Attorney Mark Hurlbert said Thursday.
Gary Bruce Kitching, 70, of Carbondale, was killed in a Nov. 7 shooting at the Sandbar in West Vail. Three others were also shot.
Moreau, 63, of Vail, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and five other felonies.
