DENVER—University of Denver men’s basketball coach Joe Scott was suspended for one game by the Sun Belt Conference for his ejection against Northern Colorado on Monday.

Scott was to serve his suspension when the Pioneers (9-4, 2-0) play Arkansas State on Thursday afternoon.

Scott was given two technical fouls for arguing with officials during the Pioneers’ 72-57 loss to the Bears. Per Sun Belt Conference rules, a coach ejected from any game will be suspended for one game.

Assistant coach Mike McKee will coach the team against the Red Wolves on Thursday.
