The ex-boyfriend of a missing nurse is wanted on kidnapping charges, Brighton police said Thursday.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 50-year-old Dennis Gene Cox in connection with the disappearance of Julie Ann Kilgore, 48.
Police believe Cox, Kilgore’s former fiance, took her from her home between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Her car was later found in the parking lot of a nearby shopping center.
Kilgore is 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 180 pounds, with blond or light-brown hair and blue eyes. Cox is 5 feet 11 inches and 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his neck and abdomen.
Anyone seeing Cox or Kilgore, or a four-door 1993 Ford Taurus with Colorado license plates FFL-972, is asked to call Brighton police at 303-655-8740 or dial 911.
