A Denver toddler is dead, and his mother’s boyfriend is being held for investigation of murder.
Officers were called Tuesday evening to a home in the 1300 block of South Stuart Street about a 1-year-old not breathing, Denver police said.
First-responders found a child with “nonaccidental trauma” and took the toddler to the hospital, where he died that night.
A police investigation led to the arrest of Jacob Garcia, 31, in connection with the death of the child, police said. A news release indicated Garcia is the mother’s boyfriend.
