GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—State Sen. Josh Penry says he will not seek re-election to the Colorado Senate next year.
The Republican Grand Junction lawmaker who recently dropped out of a bid for the GOP nomination for governor says the 2010 session will be his last.
Penry offered no word yet on his future plans.
The announcement clears the way for Rep. Steve King, R-Grand Junction, to seek his seat in the November election.
