A woman was found dead, the apparent victim of a homicide, Wednesday afternoon at a home at 14100 W. 4th Avenue in Jefferson County.
A neighbors of the 30-year-old woman were unable to contact her, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release, and looked through a window and saw a body. The neighbor called officials about 1:45 p.m.
Deputies forced their way into the home and saw “some type of trauma” to the body. They got a search warrant for the house.
The identity of the woman has not been released. No arrest has been made and no suspects have been identified.
