DENVER—Joe Colborne’s goal with 3:15 to play capped a four-goal third period and lifted second-ranked Denver to a 4-3 win over fifth-ranked Boston College Saturday in the Denver Cup finale.

Rhett Rakhshani scored two goals for the second straight night for Denver (13-5-2) and also assisted on Colborne’s game-winner at 16:45.

Boston College (10-5-2) led 2-0 after two periods and went up 3-1 on Brian Gibbons’ short-handed goal at 5:36 of the third. The Eagles dropped their second straight game since the break, having lost to St. Lawrence 5-2 on Friday.

March Cheverie made 28 saves for Denver, while Boston College goalie John Muse stopped 35 shots. Muse made 16 saves in the third period and 15 in the second.
