DENVER—Denver International Airport says passenger traffic was up in November.
The airport said Tuesday that the 3.7 million travelers who used the airport in November represent a 1.3 percent increase from the same month in 2008.
About 46 million passengers used the airport through the first 11 months of 2009, which is down 2.1 percent from the same period in 2008.
Airport Aviation Manager Kim Day says she expects final numbers for the year to show about 50 million passengers using the airport in 2009.
A record 51.2 million passengers used the airport in 2008.
Day says passenger traffic fell in 2009 compared with 2008 as the economy slumped and airlines reduced capacity.
