FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A medical marijuana dispensary moratorium in Larimer County has been lifted.
County officials lifted the temporary pot shop ban Monday after adopting zoning rules for the dispensaries. Rules include bans on dispensaries within 1,000 feet of schools. Dispensaries must also keep a distance from churches, public buildings and drug and alcohol treatment centers.
The lifting of the moratorium does not affect the whole county. City moratoriums in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor, for example, remain in effect.
Denver is considering similar marijuana dispensary rules, with a public hearing planned for next week.
