FORT COLLINS, Colo.—An attorney says the owner of a defunct Windsor auto dealer has paid off all liens on trade-in vehicles, but a settlement has yet to be reached on the dealership’s license, which was suspended over the trade-ins.

The Iron Mountain Autoplex closed in early August, and more than 100 employees lost their jobs.

Affidavits of probable cause filed by the Colorado Department of Revenue say the dealership’s license was suspended July 17 for unpaid liens on 31 trade-in vehicles.

Attorney Craig Joyce, who represents Champion Automotive Group owner John Chamberlain, said Monday that all $432,000 in liens are now paid off.

State officials declined to comment, but Joyce says he is hopeful the matter will be resolved.
