BOULDER, Colo.—A cougar is back in the wild after being captured near the University of Colorado.
The state Division of Wildlife says it captured the mountain lion Wednesday from Boulder’s University Hill neighborhood. A pair of dogs chased the cougar into a tree, where wildlife managers sedated it.
The animal was fitted with a radio collar and released in more remote area. KMGH-TV in Denver reports that the cougar will be tracked for as part of a five-year study by state authorities on the animals’ range behavior.
