LAFAYETTE — An estimated 3,200 people attended the 13th annual Lafayette Quaker Oatmeal Festival on Saturday, the Daily Camera of Boulder reported.
Organizers prepared an estimated 200 gallons of oatmeal, 4,600 oatmeal pancakes and 1,400 oatmeal- banana and oatmeal bran muffins for the annual Oatmeal Breakfast.
The festival, originally brought to Lafayette to stimulate local downtown businesses 13 years ago, also featured an oatmeal baking contest, a 60-booth health fair, and — new this year — an oatmeal creation challenge in which participants re-crafted favorite recipes to include oatmeal.
