Boulder radio station KBCO-97.3 FM will be moving to a new studio in Clear Channel’s Denver Tech Center complex this spring, program manager Scott Arbough said Thursday. But Arbough said the station will remain a Boulder station.
The disc jockeys and program line-up will remain the same, and there will be no staff layoffs, Arbough said. The station’s tower remains on top of Eldorado Mountain, and its coverage area won’t change.
Clear Channel, the Texas-based radio giant, is in the process of upgrading and remodeling its Tech Center studios for KTCL-93.3 FM, KPIT- 95.7 FM, KRFX-103.5 FM, KBPI-106.7 FM, KHOW-630 AM and KOA-850 AM.
Station founder Bob Greenlee sold KBCO to San Diego-based Noble Broadcasting Group for $27.3 million in 1987. The station was sold to Clear Channel in the mid-1990s. The Daily Camera
