A 71-year-old woman was arrested Friday after she reportedly pulled a gun on an El Paso County deputy who was questioning her about dozens of dogs running loose on her property.
A deputy went to the home of Norma Scott, 22692 Scott Road, and told her that he wanted to check on the condition of her animals. Scott let the deputy in, but then pulled a rifle and threatened to shoot him if he removed any of her animals, officials said. The deputy fled outside and waited for backup. Scott was later arrested on a charge of first-degree assault on a peace officer. Her sisters also were cited for allegedly loading a truck with dogs and driving away. The dogs are said to be in “less-than- adequate” condition. Allison Sherry, The Denver Post
