Air Force defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter will become the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, a source close to the situation told The Gazette of Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
According to The Gazette, an official announcement likely won’t be made until Thursday after a meeting of the Texas A&M Board of Regents.
Air Force sports information director Troy Garn- hart told The Gazette that academy officials and football coaches had no comment on DeRuyter’s status.
DeRuyter, 47, who was the Falcons’ defensive coordinator the past three seasons, will be replacing the retired Joe Kines at Texas A&M.
Air Force assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt is the Falcons’ likely replacement for DeRuyter.
