LAKEWOOD – A bar owner took matters into his own hands, and nabbed two people he says tried to rob him.
Despite getting pretty beat-up, 32-year-old TJ Sazama held onto the man and woman at the Cordial Lounge until police could arrive.
He’s never been in a fight his entire life, but now he’s got the scars, and surveillance video documenting his first bar fight since he took over the bar two months ago.
“My instincts took over,” Sazama said.
Not the instincts of a large, burly bartender or Navy SEAL, but the instincts of a new small business owner getting robbed.
“I feel defensive when someone attacks us and our bar,” Sazama said.
