Numerous Colorado businesses are lending support to the victims of the massive earthquake in Haiti, ranging from an Englewood-based company handling calls for tonight’s global telethon to an 8-year-old Denver resident selling cupcakes for donations.
TeleTech Holdings said 5,000 employees from around the globe will take calls from “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon viewers who wish to make donations.
Other local firms are raising donations from their employees and business partners. Douglas County-based Western Union has secured nearly $1.3 million to support earthquake relief efforts. Denver-based Qwest and its employees have pledged more than $100,000.
