DENVER—A pretrial conference has been delayed for the father of a Colorado man suspected of conspiring to attack New York City with homemade bombs.

Mohammed Wali Zazi, accused of lying to the FBI when asked about his son, had a conference scheduled for Thursday in Denver federal court. It was postponed until Monday.

Authorities say the elder Zazi lied when FBI agents asked if had spoken to anyone on the phone about whether his son, Najibullah Zazi, was in trouble with authorities.

Najibullah Zazi has pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction. He is being held without bail in New York.

Mohammed Zazi also pleaded not guilty. He is free on bail and is being monitored electronically.
