VALENTINE, Neb.—A Valentine man has pleaded guilty to being in possession of too many trout.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says a conservation officer seized 249 trout from Timothy Bare.
The possession limit is eight.
The 53-year-old Bare this week pleaded guilty in Cherry County Court to possessing more than the legal limit of trout and possession of five undersized largemouth bass.
He was assessed $600 in fines and $5,900 in liquidated damages. His hunting and fishing privileges in Nebraska also have been revoked for one year.
