"If I have a good race, whatever socks I'm wearing, whatever turtleneck I'm wearing, that tends to be the go-to," said ski crosser Casey Puckett. "It generally is the undergarments." Getting your player ready...

Little too early:

Casey Puckett gave it a go on the home course, but decided Friday to pull out of the X Games after taking a tough landing on the skicross course. The 37-year-old Aspen skier had shoulder surgery two weeks ago and was trying to get back in a groove, but early in the qualifier run Friday he pulled off the course in pain. He’ll rest and prepare for the Vancouver Olympics, which will be his fifth Games.

And she’s OK:

Lizzy Beerman was released from the hospital with a concussion. The Vermont snowboarder took a nasty spill on her second run in the superpipe in the qualifier Thursday night and was taken out on a stretcher.
