Become a citizen scientist and head to Littleton as the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory is hosting a day of bird observation and education. The event is held in connection with a nationwide bird count taking place in backyards, parks and wildlife refuges Friday through Feb. 15. Saturday’s activities include bird hikes, talks with bird experts, bird identification and more. A bird walk for experienced birders begins the day at 8 a.m. A beginner bird walk is at 9 a.m. followed by “Birding 101” at 10 a.m. Activities continue until noon. “Eat (healthy) chocolate and Get a ‘Beachbody'” is the theme of the Lost and Found Inc. Wellness Fair. The fair offers products and services for metabolic testing, screenings for predictors of breast cancer and other cancers affecting women, along with healthy kid snacks and drinks. Lost and Found Inc. is a nonprofit agency that provides intervention, rehabilitation and restoration services for at-risk children, youths, adults and families.
