Gardner to replace Kanaby:
High schools in America will have a new grand poobah. Bob Gardner is to replace Robert Kanaby in May as executive officer of the National Federation of State High School Associations. Gardner has served as the NFHS’s chief operating officer the past 10 years. He began his 40-year career in Indiana, where high school sports remain an attraction. Not that he needs job security, but Gardner will be just the sixth leader in the organization’s 90 years. Kanaby has been in command since 1993.
