FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A co-defendant in a triple shooting in Fort Collins has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Jeremiah Christopher Bryant faces up to 36 years in prison at a sentencing hearing scheduled March 1.
Co-defendant Joshua Douglas Renn of Loveland is serving a life sentence for his role in shootings that killed 30-year-old Clinton Hiney and injured 55-year-old Patrick Moore and 37-year-old John Lyman in January 2009. Jurors convicted Renn of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Moore testified that he owed Renn about $300 for methamphetamine, and that the other victims were at his apartment when Renn and Bryant arrived to confront him about the debt.
