Getting your player ready...

Alice McKennis of Glenwood Springs made her Olympic debut in the women’s downhill at age 20, missing a gate after getting bounced low out of a turn. McKennis is in her first season on the World Cup circuit and made the U.S. Olympic team on the strength of some strong finishes.

“It’s something that I’ll have with me forever and I’ll always remember,” McKennis said. “It feels really good to be here, even if it wasn’t my best run. I was definitely nervous all morning, a lot of excitement. I just wanted to go out and ski well. I think I was doing OK on the top, but on the bottom it got away from me.”
