The FBI today announced that it has determined that there was no real threat to the passengers on a United Airlines flight from Denver that was diverted to Salt Lake City on Thursday.

The flight 741 was en route to San Francisco on Thursday morning when a flight attendant found a note that was perceived as a threat and the pilot made the decision to stop in Salt Lake City.

A spokesperson for United said the decision was done as a routine precautionary measure.

FBI searched the passengers and plane but has determined that no threat actually existed.

There were 168 passengers and six crew members on board. Nobody was injured. The flight resumed after approximately seven hours on the ground in Salt Lake City.
