Whether beginner or expert, angler of trout or warm-water fish, virtually every Colorado fisherman can learn something at the annual Spring Fishing Classic at the Denver Bass Pro Shop.
Beginning Saturday and Sunday, the series of seminars, book signings and other events will be conducted over three consecutive weekends. A veritable who’s who of local and regional experts will be featured.
Saturday’s activities begin at 10 a.m. at the author’s corner with Landon Mayer, a large- trout specialist whose recently published book, “Sight Fishing for Trout,” has been well- received by area anglers. Mayer will be at the fishing theater at 1 p.m. with a presentation titled “Seeing the Fight.”
The day’s presentations will conclude with a question-and-answer session at 5 p.m. titled “Our Secrets Revealed” by lake-trout expert Bernie Keefe and walleye pro Nathan Zelinsky.
Sunday’s presenters include veteran trout guide and author Pat Dorsey and master fly-tier Charlie Craven.
