A 10-month-old baby who was rushed to a hospital after being found in distress in a bath tub has been identified.
Jeremiah M. Sosa died at Longmont United Hospital on Thursday, the Boulder County Coroner’s Office said in a media release.
The cause and manner of death are pending further laboratory testing, the release said.
The coroner’s office does not suspect foul play.
Police responding to calls for help Thursday morning, however, found drugs in the home in plain view.
The 27-year-old mother was a guest in the home in the 400 block of Collyer Street, along with the infant and a 2-year-old sibling.
The mother was frantic when she called police just after 11 a.m., police said.
The mother’s name has not been released, and police are investigating the drugs and circumstances of the baby’s drowning, police said today.
Police aren’t disclosing what kind of drugs were found.
