Getting your player ready...
TUCSON, Ariz.—Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy has spoken to his team as a group for the first time since being eliminated in the division series.
Tracy said he has been anticipating the speech all offseason. He spoke before the Rockies held their first full-squad workout Friday.
After the workout, Tracy said he told the players how good they are.
The Rockies went 74-42 last year under Tracy, who replaced Clint Hurdle as manager May 29. They won a franchise-record 92 games and reached the playoffs, for the second time in three years, as the National League wild card.
