AURORA — The defending champion Raiders girls held the neighboring Wolves scoreless in the third quarter Saturday night as they moved into Class 5A’s Sweet 16.

Regis Jesuit (17-7) was led by senior Megan O’Neil’s 13 points and will face Air Academy on Wednesday. Grandview (13-12) was outscored 13-0 in the third quarter.

BROOMFIELD — The Lightning girls (23-1) rode 17 points by Quincey Noonan in taking down Doherty (12-13) in 5A’s Round 2.

LOUISVILLE — The Coyotes girls (20-4), runners-up a year ago, rolled over the Rebels (13-12) in 5A’s second round as Eliza Normen scored 20 points.

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Knights girls (20-5) earned a road win in 5A’s second round over the Terrors (18-6), fueled by 13 points from Caitlin Higgins.

Air Academy 47, Ralston Valley 35

COLORADO SPRINGS — Leigh Hamilton’s 13 points helped push the Kadets girls (22-2) past the Mustangs (14-10) in 5A’s second round.

Chaparral 57, Durango 44

PARKER — Lori Laboda scored 12 points as the Wolverines (18-6) earned a home victory in 5A’s second round against the Demons (9-12).

Cherry Creek 49, Poudre 44

GREENWOOD VILLAGE — Shavonne White’s 15 points led the Bruins girls (18-6) past the Impalas (16-9) in 5A’s second round.

Heritage 59, Pine Creek 32

LITTLETON — Kim Lockridge scored 12 points as the Eagles girls (18-6) built a 27-10 halftime lead in running over the Colorado Springs-based Eagles (15-9) in 5A’s second round.

Broomfield 66, Wheat Ridge 47

BROOMFIELD — Katie Nehf and Tyana Medema each scored 17 points, helping the three-time defending champion Eagles girls (24-1) roll past the Farmers (18-7) in 4A’s Sweet 16.

Mullen 68, Roosevelt 52

Kirsten Hess scored a game-high 22 points as the Mustangs girls (17-7), state runners-up a year ago, handled the RoughRiders (20-5) in 4A’s Sweet 16.
