1. If Mike Huckabee was president and proposed the same plan as Obama, the Republicans would get behind it.
2. If Obama would propose what John McCain did during the last election, the Republicans would still oppose it.
3. Sadly, the Republicans primary agenda is to use health care reform to trip up Obama and to regain power.
4. Republicans have mastered Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. The Democrats are naïve to think they can counter their war-strategies by noble purpose, reason, logic, or facts.
5. Republicans are right. Obama’s plan is a job killer. Of our $700 billion/year wasted health care bill (37% for unnecessary care, 22% is fraud, 18% for administrative inefficiency, 11% for medical mistakes, etc.), if half would be eliminated, than $350 billion/year of business/jobs involved in such waist would be “lost”.
6. Our system is not the best. Studies rate the US 37th in over-all health-care system-services, we pay twice as much on average, our life-expectancy is the 45th, etc.
7. All other modern countries made a moral choice – same as what the US signed with the UN’s Bill of Rights, which includes health-care-for-all. We protect our profit-on-illness business model.
