COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police say a car that crashed into a power pole caused about 2,000 Colorado Springs Utilities customers to lose power for about 30 minutes.

Police say Chris M. Zazo was allegedly speeding when he lost control and hit the pole around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Zazo and three passengers suffered minor injuries. Zazo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving.

Utilities spokesman Eric Isaacson says only about six customers lost power for several hours. Power to those customers was restored about 7:30 a.m.
