EDGEWATER — An argument between a man and woman led Edgewater police to a major marijuana bust Sunday morning, after Laef Oneil Fox invited a police officer inside his home.
Officers noticed the sweet, pungent odor of green marijuana “that permeated the entire residence” after being called to the home in the 2000 block of Ames Street about 11:15 a.m.
Police said they found a “grow operation,” which cultivates marijuana, in the basement.
Fox, 30, told officers he had a medical-marijuana license but couldn’t provide it, according to the police.
