PIANO IN TOW

LINCOLN—No, Nicole Narboni isn’t hauling duck decoys or other hunting knickknacks in the camouflage trailer she calls “Lovely” and that she’s taking on the road this week through western Nebraska. It’s a piano, a big one—about 1,000 pounds, 7 1/2 feet long. And unlike most classical musicians who may drive by towns like Lewellen (pop. 280) on their way to big markets where lots of people know the difference between Chopin and Cher, she plans to stop for more than gas. EXCHANGE-BOWEL PROBLEMS

BEATRICE—Jonathon Schleufer is just like any other sixth grade student. He likes science. He is an honor roll student. He participates in Children’s Theater. He likes swimming and hunting using his imagination. He is social once he gets to know someone. By Chris Dunker.

EXCHANGE-FAST LEARNER

CRETE—OK, so she was hungry, but what’s interesting about Crystal Vander Zanden’s first word isn’t that it was “eat.” It’s that she spoke it at the age of three months. By Kevin Abourezk.
