PAGOSA SPRINGS — Cleanup will continue all weekend on a southwest Colorado highway hit by a 40-ton boulder last week.
The rock slide Thursday evening on U.S. 160 in Archuleta County caused no injuries. A truck-size boulder that landed on the road was blasted and removed by the Colorado Department of Transportation on Friday, with one lane remaining open.
Rubble cleanup was expected to continue all weekend with one lane remaining open. State highway engineers are headed to the highway Monday for more analysis of the damage.
