WINDSOR, Colo.—Vestas Wind Systems says it has received an order from We Energies for 81 wind turbines for the Glacier Hills Wind Park in Wisconsin.
Vestas spokesman Andrew Longeteig said Thursday that three Colorado factories will work on the project. A blade factory in Windsor, a nacelles factory in Brighton and a plant in Pueblo that makes towers will all be involved in making parts of the turbines.
Vestas says the wind park’s order includes a two-year service and maintenance agreement.
The turbines will be delivered in early 2011.
We Energies provides power to more than 1.1 million consumers in Wisconsin and Michigan.
Vestas says the order doesn’t affect its expectations for 2010.
