THORNTON, Colo.—The coroner is working to identify the person found inside a Thornton condominium complex where a fire broke out this weekend.
Police say the fire Saturday is suspicious. Officers are investigating the case as a homicide. They haven’t been able to identify the age, race or sex of the victim.
Neighbors believe the victim was a young woman who lived in the complex.
The fire burned so intensely that it caused smoke and heat damage to nine other units in a complex in the Denver suburb.
