A man suspected of stealing from firefighters across the Front Range has been arrested by Westminster police.
Robert John Burns Jr., 48, is suspected of burglarizing multiple fire stations between October and February, police said.
Burns is a mechanic for a private company that services fire engines, police said. At least 10 fire departments were victims in the case.
Narcotics and various firefighting gear were stolen, police said.
On Jan. 26, and Feb. 23, two Westminster fire stations were hit. Westminster police received several anonymous tips that led investigators to Burns.
Burns was arrested on suspicion of burglary for controlled substances, criminal trespass and theft between $500 and $1,000.
