The Dave Matthews Band and Jack Johnson will headline the third annual Mile High Music Festival this summer, partner radio station KBCO announced this morning.
The two-day music festival will feature more than 40 bands at the fields surrounding Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Aug. 14-15. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at or 866-461-6556.
“Were bringing back maybe my favorite act in the world: Dave Matthews Band,” AEG Live Rocky Mountains president Chuck Morris said on the ‘BCO Morning Show this morning.
Johnson, a previous Coachella Music Festival, will headline the festival’s Saturday line-up on Aug. 14, which also includes Steve Miller Band, Slightly Stoopid, Phoenix, Nas & Damien “Jr. Gong” Marley, Keane, Cypress Hill and others.
Dave Matthews Band, one of the headliners from the first-ever Mile High Music Festival in 2008, will headline the festival Sunday, which also includes Weezer, My Morning Jacket, Atmosphere, Train, Jimmy Cliff, Bassnectar and others.
Two-day passes will start at $150, but that price will rise to $175 after supplies are depleted. After those sell out, two-day passes will sell for $200. Those prices include ticketing fees and tax.
The festival will continue to book local talent. This year will feature Matt Morris, the Knew, Danielle At the Sandwich (all playing on Aug. 15) and others on the festival stages.
Other artists playing Aug. 14: Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, the Samples (with all original members), Keller Williams, Rusted Root, Donavon Frankenreiter, One eskimO, Mayer Hawthorne & The County, ALO, Amos Lee, The Constellations, The Motet, Bobby Long and MyNameIsJohnMichael.
Other artists playing Aug. 15: Z-Trip, Drive-By Truckers. Railroad Earth, Ozomatli, Punch Brothers, Tim Reynolds & TR3, Trevor Hall, BoomBox, On My Stars and Joe Purdy.
