Bank robbers made off with undisclosed amounts of money from two Denver banks late last week and over the weekend, the FBI said Monday.

The most recent robbery occurred Saturday morning when three armed, masked men entered Liberty Bank, 9660 E. Alameda Ave., and demanded money, FBI spokesman Dave Joly said.

The trio fled after they were handed money, Joly said.

On Thursday, two armed men entered Wells Fargo Bank, 1001 S. Monaco Parkway, showed their guns and demanded money. They also fled with cash.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171 or call CrimeStoppers at 720-913-7867.

Callers can remain anonymous. Rewards up to $2,000 are offered.
