DENVER—Police are investigating the third bus-related death in the Denver area this week.
On Monday, a 78-year-old man was run over by a bus in suburban Aurora and died later at a hospital. Regional Transportation District officials say the driver of the bus has been taken in for questioning and drug testing. The driver is an RTD employee.
The accident happened two days after a bus operated by a contractor ran a red light and slammed into a Volkswagen Rabbit, killing two 29-year-olds.
Police say they’re investigating both accidents and will decide whether to recommend charges. Results of the investigations, as well as the names of the drivers have not been released.
