COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Four people have been arrested in the burglary of a Commerce City home that police suspect houses a large marijuana growing operation.
Police in the north-Denver suburb say they discovered a burglary in progress when they checked out a report of a man leaving a suspicious vehicle to enter the home Wednesday morning.
Nearby elementary and middle schools were locked down until early afternoon while they looked for the suspects.
The homeowner, a woman, was also arrested on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute and child abuse.
