The Denver Medical Examiner’s office has not yet determined the identity of a man who drowned in the Highline Canal Tuesday afternoon.

A passerby in James A. Bible Park pulled an unresponsive man from the canal in southeast Denver near East Yale Avenue and South Monaco Parkway.

No information about the man has been released by investigators.

Fire crews responded, but could not determine how long the man had been in the water. The man was alive when he was removed from the water, but in dire condition.
